This is a specialised, very light, relaxing treatment stimulating the lymphatic system, and aiding detox.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Gentle. Powerful. Deeply restorative.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, specialist massage technique that encourages the natural flow of lymph — helping to reduce fluid retention, support detoxification, and boost the body’s healing process.
It’s a relaxing treatment with wide-reaching benefits, used by many of our clients for:
- Reducing puffiness, bloating, or general fluid retention
- Supporting recovery from surgery (especially cosmetic procedures)
- Easing swelling and discomfort during pregnancy
- Restricted movement and soft tissue injuries
Regular Lymphatic drainage treatments can be of benefit for the following conditions:
- Post-operative swelling after surgery, especially cosmetic procedures like liposuction, tummy tuck, breast augmentation and gynecomastia
- Fluid retention (eg puffy ankles, legs, eyes, bloating, can temporarily improve the appearance of cellulite)
- Boost immunity for those suffering from recurrent colds, flu or ear and chest infections or to prepare the body for surgery
- Chronic fatigue (ME), migraine, sinus problems, hay fever and glandular fever
- Constipation and digestive disorders
- Acne and other skin conditions
- Stress, anxiety and tension
MLD Post-Surgery
We regularly support clients following surgery, particularly after having cosmetic procedures.
Post-surgery MLD can help to reduce swelling and inflammation, minimise the risk of fluid build-up or fibrosis, speed up the healing process, and help your body recover smoothly
We’ll always work gently and carefully, adapting the treatment to your stage of healing, comfort level, and surgical history. If you’ve had surgery, we’ll go through a full consultation before treatment to ensure it’s safe and appropriate.
Maternity manual lymphatic drainage massage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is safe and deeply comforting during pregnancy. It can help reduce swelling, support fluid balance, and ease the heaviness that often comes with pregnancy-related water retention.
The treatment uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate lymphatic flow and promote circulation. We tailor your positioning and support throughout — side-lying or semi-reclined — so you’re completely comfortable.
Clients often describe this treatment as calming, grounding, and a rare moment of deep rest during pregnancy.
Please note: MLD (or any massage) is not suitable if you have high blood pressure or signs of pre-eclampsia. Always consult your midwife or doctor if unsure.Lymphatic Drainage is £65 for a 1 hour treatment.
